Functionality
This knife is perfect for using around the campfire after a hard day’s fishing. It is also a great hunting knife - so perfect for the person that likes both hunting and fishing. It fits the hand beautifully and is comfortable to use for prolonged periods of time. This knife has beautiful brass accents and feels substantial.
Blade
Made of carbon steel, the blade keeps an edge longer than a stainless steel blade and is easier to sharpen. Less time sharpening, more time cutting. It will patina with age and achieve its own character. A full tang means the blade is integrated into the handle and makes for an extremely rugged knife. The edge is sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees.
Handle
The handle material is beautiful NZ Rata. It has lovely lines and is very nice to hold. This knife has a full tang and the trout is an integral part of it. The trout is viewed through the handle via a brass tube. It and be viewed from both side.
