Sometimes the Journey Takes an Unexpected Turn

If you've been wondering why things have been a little quiet here lately, there's a good reason.

I've temporarily stepped away from writing because I've found myself completely immersed in another making project, and it’s a big one.

It's demanding a lot of time, plenty of experimentation and more hours in the workshop than I care to count. And, for now, it's something I can't talk about publicly.

That's actually one of the interesting things about being a maker.

Sometimes an opportunity comes along that changes your plans. You can either stick rigidly to the path you've mapped out - or take the opportunity, throw yourself into it and see where it leads.

I've chosen the latter.

So the blog and some of my other projects are temporarily on hold while I concentrate on this one. But I'll be back.

And when I'm able to share what I've been working on, I think you'll understand why it was worth putting everything else aside for a while.

Until then, keep making.
