Functionality
This knife is perfect for skinning and butchering deer and similar sized animals. The shape of the handle fits the hand beautifully and is comfortable to use for prolonged periods of time. It is both lightweight and tough.
Blade
Made of carbon steel, the blade keeps an edge longer than a stainless steel blade and is easier to sharpen. Less time sharpening, more time cutting. It will patina with age and achieve its own character. A full tang means the blade is integrated into the handle, making for an extremely rugged knife. The edge is sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees.
Handle
The handle material is typically classic exotic and New Zealand woods and may or may not feature G10 spacer material. It has beautiful lines and is very nice to hold. It is best suited to a small or medium-sized hand. A person with a large hand might be better suited to the Ultimate Hunter knife.
